There is no surprise that in tonight's game between the Baylor Bears and Texas Tech Raiders that offense would rule the night. The second quarter featured back and forth scoring with each team scoring 21 points in the second quarter. In fact since the opening field goal by Baylor the teams have exchanged touchdowns the entire game.
Both quarterbacks Seth Doege and Robert Griffin III are leading the way in tonight's game. Doege has completed 25-of-31 passes for 183 yards in the first half and two touchdowns. One of the Texas Tech's passing touchdowns came on a trick play where Doege faked a handoff and then gave the ball to No. 85 on the end around who then threw a 43-yard touchdown pass to Darrin Moore. The big surprise is that No. 85 is backup quarterback Jacob Karam. That is just one of the few trick plays that Tommy Tuberville has called this year, but this time it worked to perfection.
Griffin has three total touchdowns -- two on the ground one through the air -- with 106 passing yards and 62 on the ground. Just prior to Griffin's second rushing touchdown there was a major scare as Griffin was scrambling to make a play and then took off to run, he went down to slide but he took a forearm from a Texas Tech defender. Griffin laid down on the ground for a few minutes and had to be taken out of the game for one play. When Griffin reentered he scored on a 3-yard run.
