Bowl Projections, Week 13: Baylor Moves Up Bowl Pecking Order With Upset Over Oklahoma

Week 13 bowl projections have Texas in Holiday Bowl, TCU in Las Vegas Bowl, Baylor at Insight Bowl and SMU in the Beef O'Brady's Bowl.

The Baylor Bears have moved up the Big 12 bowl order after their upset win over soon-to-former No. 5 Oklahoma Sooners Saturday night. With the Big 12 only expecting to get one team in the BCS due to the Oklahoma St. Cowboys falling on Friday night, Baylor is expected to go to a mid-level Big 12 bowl game.

The Texas Longhorns fell down the bowl order after losing to the Kansas St. Wildcats and should be facing a Pac-12 team out West in the Holiday Bowl. However, Texas could realistically fall down to the Pinstripe Bowl or the Car Care Bowl which have the sixth and seventh selection out of the Big 12, and currently Texas is seventh in the Big 12 standings.

The TCU Horned Frogs have clinched their third straight Mountain West title and that means that they are likely headed to the Las Vegas Bowl. TCU is holding out hope for a BCS bowl game, and for that to happen they need the Houston Cougars to not win Conference USA and be ranked No. 16.

The SMU Mustangs had a good chance to move into a better bowl position, but they could not get past Houston. However, with Houston slotted for a BCS bowl game, SMU will get a better bowl spot if Houston makes a BCS bowl game.
