CJ Wilson Talks Heat Up, Angels At The Center

C.J. Wilson's agent Bob Garber is meeting with teams in Milwaukee. Among those suitors is the LA Angels, who are believed to have serious interest in the lefty.

C.J. Wilson's suitors have begun to step forward, and among the most determined appear to be the Los Angeles Angels. Monday's GM meetings were peppered with reports about the Angels meeting with Wilson's agent.

#Angels GM Jerry Dipoto just talked in the lobby for a few minutes after a lengthy meeting with C.J. Wilson's agent, Bob Garber.

Bob Garber, agent for CJ Wilson, after 3-hour mtg with #Angels: "CJ is extremely interested (in Angels). We're going to talk some more."

The Rangers haven't openly discussed their interest level in retaining Wilson, but it appears that the Angels aren't the only serious team.

Doesn't appear C.J. Wilson will sign very soon. 8-9 teams interested. They plan to narrow to 4-5 favorites. He may get 6 yrs.

Six years likely rules the Rangers out, if they are even willing to make a bid competitive with Wilson's best. It's beginning to look like they are going to lose their ace in free agency for the second straight winter.
