Stars Hearing Just One Week Away

The Dallas Stars are getting really close to being sold. In part because it's the Stars and not the Rangers, and in part because there isn't a high profile struggle involved, the nearing end of the Stars' miserable existence with Tom Hicks seems very much under the radar. Nevertheless, it appears almost certain, and the date of the club's court hearing for approval of their sale and prepackaged bankruptcy plan has been bumped up from November 23 to November 18. If that hearing goes off without a hitch, it's possible that Ton Gaglardi could own the Stars as soon as the end of November or the beginning of December, once the league approves the sale. Hallelujah.
