Sidney Crosby Won't Make His Season Debut Vs. The Stars

The Penguins have ruled out a return to action for Sidney Crosby this weekend. Crosby is getting close to returning to the ice after missing nearly a year from post-concussion symptoms. His full participation in practice had some predicting that his return could come Friday when the Pens host the Stars. Alas, it wasn’t to be.

Meanwhile, Dallas has placed Steve Ott on injured reserve so that they have the ability to add a player in case Brenden Morrow can’t go. Since the move was retroactive to last week, Ott would be eligible to play Friday or Saturday but won’t be ready to return for either game.
