Rangers Go Back To The Well Once More With Announcing Teams

The Rangers are bringing back Dave Barnett and Tom Grieve as their TV team and the great Eric Nadel and Steve Busby in the radio booth. This is primarily interesting because they've struggled mightily to find a good fit for Tom Grieve in recent years, letting go of Josh Lewin after the 2010 season and reassigning John Rhadigan midstream this past season. Then, though Barnett seemed to work better on TV than the radio, he and Grieve seemed to have issues (see Adam Morris' commentary and Joey Matschulat's recount of the height of that tenseness).

I hope they get it right because I love Grieve and don't mind Barnett nearly as much as most hard core fans seem to. I'm also not much of a Busby guy for game broadcasts (I know I'm swimming against the stream on this one as well), but he and Nadel do fit well together, certainly better than Nadel and Barnett. I do wish that Nadel would do all of the PBP, though.
