The Cowboys Are Going Back To Cali (For Training Camp)

The Cowboys have decided to return to Oxnard for the next three training camps. That would be fine, except that they haven't ruled out splitting time in San Antonio. Stephen Jones:

San Antonio and Oxnard have provided absolutely outstanding settings for every single aspect of our training camps for the past ten years. We look forward to going back to California next year. We are also exploring avenues to have a continued Dallas Cowboys presence in San Antonio, because it has always been a special home for the Dallas Cowboys.

For anyone looking to compile a thorough list of things Jerry Jones does to the detriment of his team to make an extra buck or satisfy his ego, this should be included. After the abject disaster of 2010, it would be scandalous for the Cowboys to go right back to the split camp.

There is still the possibility that Stephen is referring to events outside of training camp proper, as TIm McMahon tweets:

A possibility I've also heard kicked around is the Cowboys holding a minicamp at the Alamodome each year.

That frankly seems like a big, unnecessary hassle as well, but Jerry is absolutely determined to maintain two extra camp fan bases, one way or another.
