Rangers Vs. Cardinals Game 7 Score: Allen Craig Homers To Put Cardinals Up 3-2 After Four

After four runs that were scored in the first inning combined by both teams, both starting pitchers finally settled down for a clean second inning where no runs were scored. That changed in the bottom of the third inning when Allen Craig homered off of Matt Harrison who is only in the lineup because Matt Holliday is out with a sprained right wrist. The homer gave the Cardinals a 3-2 lead over the Rangers.

That was the only run that Texas allowed in the bottom of the third inning.

In the top of the fourth inning Chris Carpenter came out and pitched a perfect top of the fourth inning by striking out Mike Napoli and pitcher Matt Harrison with a David Murphy ground out to first sandwiched in between the two strike outs.
