The Texas Longhorns hired away Bryan Harsin who was the offensive coordinator for the Boise St. Broncos to take the same position at Texas to be their co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. Harsin was known to run the ocasional trick play at Boise State, and today he opened up a bag of tricks by running the Statue of LIberty play to perfection which saw the true freshman running back Malcolm Brown score his second touchdown of the game on the 24 yard run.
That 24-yard touchdown run by Brown put him over the century mark on the day and has 102 rushing yards to go along with his two touchdowns. Brown is also averaging 7.8 yards per carry so far today.
The touchdown run cut the Texas deficit to four points with Oklahoma State leading Texas 28-24 midway through the quarter.
