The start of this game started off slowly with the Oklahoma St. Cowboys lead 7-0 and then slowly extended their lead in a back-and-forth second quarter where Oklahoma outscored Texas 14-10. Texas scored their only touchdown in the first half on a 15 yard touchdown run by Malcolm Brown.
However the second half started off with a bang as Oklahoma State returned the second half kick off for a touchdown by Justin Gilbert who returned the kick 100 yards. Not to be outdone, Texas' Foswhitt Whittaker returned his kick for 103 yards by outrunning the kicker for the last 20 yards for the touchdowns. It took the two schools only 24 seconds to score those 14 points.
Since the two returns both teams have punting and have gone three and out, and Oklahoma State has an 11-point lead over the Longhorns, 28-17.
