There's only one bowl game tonight and it's easily one of the best of the 2010-11 bowl season. The Orange Bowl pits the No. 4 Stanford Cardinal against the No. 13 Virginia Tech Hokies.
↵Stanford finished the regular season 11-1 and 8-1 in the Pac-10 - their lone loss was to the Pac-10 champion Oregon Ducks - who just happen to be playing in the BCS title game. Stanford, of course, is led by quarterback Andrew Luck who is widely rumored to go No. 1 in the 2011 NFL Draft. The Cardinal are ninth in the nation in points per game, averaging over 40 per contest. Rumors are swirling about Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh leaving after the Orange Bowl to become the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers or Michigan Wolverines - but we won't have anything concrete on that until after tonight's game.
↵The Hokies finished 11-2 and a perfect 8-0 in the ACC to become ACC champions. Virginia Tech dropped their first two games of the year - to Boise State and James Madison, but since have won 11 games in a row. Senior quarterback Tyrod Taylor threw for over 2,500 yards and 23 touchdowns while rushing for over 600 yards and five touchdowns.
↵I'll take the three and a half point favorite Stanford Cardinal to win the Orange Bowl, sending Andrew Luck out a winner into the NFL draft and Jim Harbaugh a winner to wherever he decides to go.
