Roger Federer Loses In Straight Sets In Australian Open

Just a day after the top seeds in both the men's and women's bracket lost - Rafael Nadal and Caroline Wozniacki - the second seed in the men's tournament lost. Roger Federer, the defending Australian Open champion, lost on Thursday to Novak Djokovic in straight sets. Djokovic, the third seed, defeated Federer 7-6, 7-5, 6-4 to advance to the Australian Open finals. Djokovic has won only one Grand Slam in his career - the Australian Open in 2008. Djokovic's best finish in a Grand Slam tournament since came late last summer in the US Open when he lost to Rafael Nadal.
