Caroline Wozniacki lost to Li Na in three sets in the 2011 Australian Open semifinal. Wozniacki won the first set 6-3 before dropping the second set 7-5 to Na. Wozniacki had match point in the second set but failed to close out Na. Na won the third set easily, 6-3, finishing the upset of the top seeded Wozniacki.

With the win, Na has become the first Chinese woman to advance to the final of any Grand Slam.

Na will face the winner of the other women's semifinal which pits (3) Kim Clijsters against (2) Vera Zvonareva. Clijsters defeated Zvonareva in the finals of last year's U.S. Open - which is also a hard court surface. The winner will be the favorite to win the finals over Na, but Na has proved she is capable of the upset.
