2011 Super Bowl: Steelers Vs. Packers Odds

Super Bowl XLV, as everybody knows, pits the Packers against the Steelers. Green Bay is representing the NFC, despite being the sixth seed in the conference. The Packers had to beat the top three seeded teams in the NFC - on the road - en route to the Super Bowl.

The Steelers, meanwhile, had to win just two games - both at home - as the AFC's No. 2 seed.

So it's likely that the Steelers are favorites, right? Wrong. The Packers are two and a half point favorites to win Super Bowl XLV. The over/under is somewhere between 44.5 and 45.5 - depending on where you look. Green Bay has looked dominant en route to Super Bowl XLV, so it's not a huge surprise that they're favorites. Still, the Steelers did earn the No. 2 seed in the AFC, which seemed like the superior conference, so on the surface it might have been expected that Pittsburgh would be favorites.

I doubt anybody on the Steelers or Packers really cares, but hey, I'll take any chance to slight the Steelers I can get.
