Baylor Falls To Iowa State 72-57

(Sports Network) - Jamie Vanderbeken scored 21 points to lead the Iowa State Cyclones to a 72-57 win over the Baylor Bears in a Big 12 encounter at Hilton Coliseum.

Scott Christopherson scored 17 points for the Cyclones (14-4, 1-2 Big 12) who snapped a two-game losing streak. Diante Garrett recorded a double-double with 16 points and a game-high 11 assists. Calvin Godfrey added nine points and seven rebounds off the bench.

LaceDarious Dunn scored 20 points for Baylor (12-4, 2-1) which saw a four-game winning streak end. A.J. Walton added 12 points and six assists, while Perry Jones III provided 10 points. Quincy Acy added nine points and eight rebounds.

Iowa State led 39-32 at halftime after shooting 15-of-31 from the floor. The Cyclones were 7-of-14 from long range.

Iowa State led by as many as 16 in the second half and used 7-of-11 shooting beyond the arc to seal the win.

The Cyclones shot an even 50 percent from the floor for the game. Baylor was just 2-of-8 at the foul line. The Bears, who failed to get a single point from the reserves, were playing just their second true road game of the season.
