The final set of AP college football rankings are out, and TCU managed to pass Oregon for second place, even receiving three of 59 first place votes at Auburn's expense. Auburn wins the national championship after finishing atop the BCS Standings and then winning the national championship game. TCU finished third in the BCS rankings. Auburn is the fifth straight SEC team to finish first in the final poll. The final BCS Standings have not been released, but TCU is likely to jump Oregon in that ranking as well.
Oklahoma finished sixth in the AP poll and appears to be a strong candidate for next preseason's number one team, after getting good news from Ryan Broyles and Travis Wilson on their intentions to return to school. Oklahoma State finished 13th, Missouri 18th and Texas A&M 19th. Nebraska, after starting their final year in the Big 12 with national title aspirations, finished a disappointing 20th with four losses.
Here are the complete AP rankings.
