NCAA Basketball Rankings: Texas Longhorns 12th And 14th In Latest Polls

The University of Texas Longhorns remain a top 15 team in the latest version of both the AP and USA Today polls. The Longhorns are ranked No. 14 in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches poll while they come in two spots higher in the AP poll at No. 12.

Texas is coming off their third loss of the season - and second to a Big East team - as they open Big 12 play this week. The Longhorns fell to the Connecticut Huskies in overtime on Saturday, losing 82-81 after Connecticut star Kemba Walker drained a game winning jumper with five seconds left to go. The loss to the Huskies, who are a top 10 team, didn't seem to effect the Longhorns too much in the polls.

Texas is set to begin Big 12 play on Tuesday night when they head to Texas Tech to take on the 8-8 Red Raiders. Texas will wrap up the week by hosting the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday.

The Baylor Bears were not ranked in either of this week's polls, but received votes in both.
