A week after falling to unranked UCLA, the Texas Longhorns have an opportunity to rebound in the college football rankings. Now ranked 21st, the Longhorns will take on the eighth-ranked Oklahoma Sooners, who are four point favorites over Texas.
If Texas is able to upset Oklahoma on Saturday, then the Longhorns should jump up into the teens in the new rankings on Sunday regardless of what teams like No. 16 Miami, No. 18 USC and No. 19 Michigan do on Saturday. All three of those schools are playing unranked opponents. A win against the No. 8 team in the nation should be significant enough to propel Texas up in the polls.
A loss, however, will almost assuredly drop Texas from the Top 25 altogether.
