Matt Klaassen at FanGraphs has a run down on the Rangers’ post season rotation, focusing on the obvious top three and Tommy Hunter. Included is his assessment that Lee-Lewis-Wilson may be the best top three of any post season team. I’m not sure how many Rangers fans are aware of that, but it’s something I absolutely agree with, this rotation is stacked for short series success.
↵In the comments, he also responded to my question about Hunter vs. Holland/Feldman with this:
↵↵↵I do think that Holland and Feldman are both better than Hunter, but choosing between them is a bit difficult. Holland obviously has the greater potential, and the Ks are nice, but he has a bit of a problem with walks so far. It’s a small sample in the majors, but I’d be a bit worried about Holland’s platoon issues against a team with a number of good right-handed hitters. Feldman avoids walks… and that’s about it. He’s a rich-man’s Tommy Hunter.
↵Just from looking at the numbers, I’d rather start Feldman or Holland than Hunter, I think.

He says he’d be interested in hearing from Rangers fans who follow the team more closely than he does as to why they’d prefer one of the other pitchers, so if you’d like to respond and educate, click here.
