Jason Witten And Mike Jenkins Expected To Play For Cowboys In Houston

The Cowboys may not have survived the Bears, but they did survive a major scare to one of their best players, corner Mike Jenkins. Jenkins had to be carted from the sideline late in the fourth quarter Sunday, creating concerns that he might have torn a ligament in his knee. But unlike several big names from other teams this week, he appears to be no worse from wear. He likely won’t practice Wednesday but should play in Houston.

After a frustrating day of ranting on the sideline, Witten expects to be back on the field Sunday.

“I didn’t feel like it was a concussion,” Witten said. "I felt woozy there for a little bit, but everything is fine.

“I feel great. I don’t see any reason why I wouldn’t be playing this week.”

Witten engaged in a heated sidelines discussion with Dr. Robert Fowler of the club’s medical staff but was not allowed to return.

“I told him I was fine,” Witten said. “But I understand what his role is and what he’s trying to do. I just felt I knew what my body felt like more than anyone else. Any competitor is going to tell you that.”
