Mike Heika reports that the only bargaining option available to Dallas Stars restricted free agents James Neal and Matt Niskanen may be to hold out of camp until they can reach new deals with the club.
While the Stars seem to be taking a harder line with their RFAs than other teams, they are apparently still optimistic that deals will get done.
The Stars feel they already have made solid offers to Neal and Niskanen and continue to negotiate, with GM Joe Nieuwendyk saying the team feels it is getting close to getting both players signed.
