The Magic Number for the Texas Rangers is already down to single digits. And, at the moment of this writing, the A’s are about 88% likely to lose, which would put it at a mere eight games.

If the Rangers sweep the Mariners, they would have a second ten game winning streak on the season, the first seven of those coming against the Blue Jays, Yankees and Tigers. The offense has scored 22 runs in the last two nights.

Even without Josh Hamilton, this season is closing in a very, very confidence-inducing fashion. Get pumped!
