The first USA Today Coaches' Poll has been released, and local and regional teams are well represented, as usual. Alabama received 55 of 59 first place votes (Ohio State has the other four) to top the poll. Florida is third, Texas fourth, and Boise State fifth. TCU, Oklahoma and Nebraska are 7-8-9.
↵No other Big 12 school is ranked, with Houston, Missouri, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Texas A&M and ... SMU receiving votes.
