The Dallas Cowboys got more bad news on the injury front on Thursday when defensive lineman Marcus Spears and reserve offensive lineman Alex Barron were both injured near the end of Thursday afternoon’s session at the Alamodome.
Spears incurred the potentially more serious injury. After stopping a running play, he limped away from pile with what the club thinks could be a sprained ligament in the left knee. He was scheduled to undergo an MRI test in the evening to determine the extent of the injury.
Barron meanwhile dislocated his pinky finger, an injury he could play through if no surgery is required. Stay tuned for more updates and let’s all hope that Spears’ test results come back clean, and that the bad luck injury-wise is out of the way.
