Little League World Series 2010: Japan Claims Crown While Pearland, Texas Loses

The Little League World Series came to an end on Sunday when Japan defeated Waipahu, Hawaii 4-1 in the World Series championship game. Japan took an early lead, scoring once in the second before adding a second run in the fourth. Hawaii would answer in the bottom half, cutting the deficit in half. Japan would add a pair of insurance runs in the top half of the sixth inning and Hawaii simply couldn't answer. Thanks to an error by Japan, Hawaii had a runner on in the sixth but they never brought the tying run to the plate.
