Not far removed from agreeing with a home and home series with Brigham Young University, the University of Texas and the University of Southern California have agreed to a home and home series set to begin in 2017.
Per Mark Saxon:
"USC versus Texas is a classic matchup and I'm sure fans from both schools, as well as all college football fans, will look forward to these games with much anticipation," said Haden, the former USC quarterback who replaced Mike Garrett this year as AD. "It's been a long time since USC has played Texas in the regular season, and of course we all remember how exciting the recent bowl game meeting was between the teams."
The first of the home and home will take place in Los Angeles at the Coliseum on September 16, 2017. The home game for the Longhorns will be held in Austin on September 15, 2018.
The last time the two schools met on the football field was the classic 2006 BCS Title game where Vince Young and the Longhorns bested the Trojans 41-38.
