The Little League World Series continued today in Williamsport, PA with Pool B for the United States having a pair of games today. The All Stars from Hamilton, Ohio defeated seemingly perennial Little League power Toms River, NJ by a score of 16-6. Jacob Jones for Ohio powered the offensive attack with two home runs and five RBI's. Jarod Morrison was credited with the win for Ohio, striking out nine in four and two thirds innings of work.
In the second game from Pool A today, Columbus, GA downed Waipahu, HI 6-2. Jacob Pate picked up the win for Georgia, pitching four strong innings while striking out seven.
In international play, the Puerto Rico defeated Germany 11-0 last night while powerhouse Japan defeated Mexico 4-2 last night. Earlier today, the All Stars from Vancouver, Canada defeated Puerto Rico 4-2.
↵Tonight, Minnesota will take on Washington in Pool A play in an elimination game at 7:00 PM CDT. Minnesota fell to Pearland, Texas yesterday 10-8 while Washington lost to Connecticut 3-1 in the World Series' opening game. That game will be preceded by Chinese Taipei going up against Saudi Arabia.
