Derek Holland Will Rejoin Rangers Rotation Wednesday

T.R. Sullivan reports that the Rangers will fill the vacancy created by  Rich Harden's trip back to the disabled list by adding Derek Holland. Tommy Hunter will move one day earlier in the rotation to Tuesday so that Holland can pitch on regular rest.

Both pitchers made abbreviated starts Friday. Hunter managed just three innings, throwing 50 pitches. He allowed four Red Sox home runs before departing. Holland went just 2.1 innings, allowing three runs on three hits and three walks. He threw 58 pitches and struck out just one.

Cliff Lee will start the series opener against the Rays on Monday.

Holland made three nice starts in May for the Rangers before shoulder problems limited his final two outings to one inning each and subsequently sent him to the disabled list.
