Cowboys Lead Raiders 3-0 After Unremarkable First Half

In a matchup of two teams with better defensive fronts than offensive lines, the Dallas Cowboys head to the lockerroom leading 3-0 on a David Buehler 42 yard field goal.

Neither offense netted 100 yards in the half, though Oakland did run the ball effectively (13 carries for 55 yards). Dallas QBs were sacked five times, as Tony Romo and Jon Kitna struggled to find open receivers.

The Dallas field goal came on their first drive, as the Cowboys overcame what is for them a standard 2nd-14 and moved deep into Raiders territory on 18 and 24 yard passes to Jason Witten and Miles Austin. A series later Romo was sacked twice, but Buehler split the uprights perfectly.
