Rejoice, Texas baseball fans: at least one Texas team is going to the World Series. The Pearland, Texas little league all stars defeated the all stars from Eagle Pass on Thursday night, 5-3, to win the Southwest Regional and advance to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA.
↵Pearland is the first American team to clinch their spot in the Little League World Series.
↵Televised coverage of the Little League World Series, as always, is courtesy of ESPN. As is their custom, they'll do everything they can to add all the bells and whistles to a little league game, including the ridiculous 'MLB equivalent' radar gun.
↵Still, the next two weeks or so will be exciting for the kids on the Pearland team as well as their entire time. Perhaps this will be an omen for the Rangers and they'll follow suit and make it to the Fall Classic.
