Per Anthony Andro, Ian Kinsler will not be returning to the Rangers lineup until late August or even early September.
The All-Star second baseman had an MRI Tuesday, which showed improvement in his strained left groin. But there is also still inflammation there, and he likely won’t try to swing a bat for at least a week.
Kinsler is batting .298 on the year with a .387 OBP. He’s appeared in only 76 of the Rangers 112 games so far this year.
