Five Rangers Named To All Star Team

The 2010 MLB All Star teams were announced today and the Texas Rangers will be sending five representatives to Angel Stadium in Los Angeles next week. The fans voted in Josh Hamilton in the OF and Vladimir Guerrero at DH to start for the American League team. Elvis Andrus made the team as a reserve and Ian Kinsler is an injury replacement for injured 2B Dustin Pedroia. Neftali Feliz was also named to the team.

Five Rangers is quite a few to make the All Star team, but it’s possible that the Rangers will add a sixth. Michael Young is on the fans final ballot and will compete against Swisher, Konerko, Youkilus, and Delmon Young.
