Rangers Shopping Harden, Feldman

Per T.R. Sullivan, the Rangers are gauging interest in starting pitchers Rich Harden and Scott Feldman.

Sullivan says:

Teams are looking for starting pitching and Ted Lilly of the Cubs is considered the best remaining available pitcher on the market. The Rangers want to know if there are any teams interested in their pitchers and are talking with other clubs.

The Mets are one possibility. The Brewers are also looking for starting pitching. Harden is currently on the disabled list but could come off and start against the Angels on Saturday. If so, Feldman would likely move to the bullpen.

Feldman is 5-9 with a 5.46 ERA in 20 starts, including 0-3 with a 6.17 ERA in his last six outings.

Harden is 3-3 with a 5.68 ERA in 13 starts and has been since June 12 with a strained muscle in his lower back. He is 0-2 with a 5.19 ERA in four starts on rehab assignment but pitched six strong innings in his last outing on Monday, allowing two unearned runs on two hits and a walk while striking out ten.
