Hamilton Has Cortisone Shot, Out Of Lineup

According to the Star-Telegram, Josh Hamilton will not be in today’s starting lineup against the Rays.

Left fielder Josh Hamilton expects to return to the Rangers’ lineup Monday after receiving a cortisone injection Saturday in his right knee.

He said the issue has been bothering him the past month and is nothing he can’t play through. He’s out of the lineup today, though available to pinch-hit.

Through 22 at bats in June, Hamilton is hitting .455/.455/.864 with two home runs, five RBI’s and six runs scored.
