Just as a quick reminder, this series so far is why you should never say anything like “this team will have no chance in October if they get there.” The if in that sentence is still a big one at this point, but if they make it, the Rangers would have more than a chance to move on. Bad teams win a couple games against good teams all the time, and Texas is much better than bad. You just saw them win two easy games against one of the best teams in baseball, so there’s your proof of the possibility right there.
↵Just a little bit of optimism on a Saturday. Of course, facing right-handed pitchers would help. As would topping (I assume) the Twins’ record to get three home games in the first round.
