Guerrero To Return To Lineup

Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News is reporting that Designated Hitter Vladimir Guerrero will return to the starting lineup tonight.

After missing two days due to a swollen left eye, DH Vladimir Guerrero is expected to return tonight for the Rangers. He informed manager Ron Washington that he was ready to play. All things remain contingent, of course, on how Guerrero makes it through batting practice. The last time he took batting practice, which was Wednesday, he clobbered a ball off the frame of the cage and it hit him just above the left eye. He has not played since.

Should Guerrero deem himself ready after batting practice, he’ll bat cleanup tonight against Tampa Bay starter Wade Davis.
