The Fort Worth Star Telegram reports from released court documents that Tom Hicks still draws a $183,504 salary from the Rangers, and that Jamey Newberg was paid $27,125 by the team between February 24 and April 27 of 2010. The document lists team president Nolan Ryan's salary at just over $1.5 million.
While everything that Hicks does these days draws the ire of Rangers fans, his receiving a salary under $200,000 - while he still technically owns the team - wouldn't seem too out of line.
