Per Anthony Andro of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Derek Holland will not be back with the Rangers prior to the All Star Break.
He is still having issued with his right kneecap, although his shoulder is fine. Holland could resume throwing this weekend or early next week, and then begin a rehab process. The team believes he’ll be an option soon after the All-Star Break.
Holland has gone 2-1 for the Rangers in five games, including four starts, while posting a 4.19 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and recording 16 strike outs in 19.1 innings of work. Needless to say, it’s encouraging that his shoulder appears to be fine.
