Spokane Indians Begin Their Season Today

New, 1 comment

The first short season leagues begin play today, and the Rangers Advanced SS Northwest League club opens against Tri-City. Check out Robbie’s Spokane roster preview from Monday.

All eyes – at least all of those with Rangers interest – will be on 17 year-old shortstop Jurickson Profar. The switch-hitting Curacao native was ranked as the fifth best prospect in the Texas system last winter by Baseball America and even made a few Top 100 lists, all before playing a professional game and before turning 17.

Jason Parks posted his well timed scouting report on Profar today over on BBTiA.
