Per Enrique Rojas, Alexi Ogando will be joining the Rangers bullpen tonight. Ogando has been excellent in the minor leagues this year in stops at AA Frisco and AAA Oklahoma City, pitching a combined 30.2 innings, striking out 42 and walking only 11. Opposing hitters are batting a paltry .130 off of him as well. The only catch with Ogando is that he’s 26 years old, but visa problems are what kept him from progressing past the foreign leagues until this year.
↵It is currently unknown what the corresponding roster move to make room for Ogando will be, but Adam Morris over at Lone Star Ball has been speculating that Rich Harden is being placed on the DL.
