Rangers Call Press Conference To Announce They've Made Cliff Lee An Offer

About fifteen minutes ago, it came out that the Rangers were calling a press conference, leading to the belief that something big might be coming.

Not so much. It was just the brass talking about what happened in their meeting with Lee today. Chuck Greenberg says he liked the way the conversation went, and they gave Lee some options to consider. He’s thinking it over now. This likely ends your evening of Cliff Lee news.

Evan Grant had this quote from Greenberg:

This is getting rough. So many swirling emotions about whether or not we have to say goodbye to Lee, or whether or not they’re going to panic and overpay for him, or whether or not he’d be worth overpaying, or whether or not they’ll need him.

I’m not sure this will come to the best conclusion, but I’m ready for progress.
