BCS Rankings: Auburn, Oregon To Meet In Title Game

The final unveiling of the BCS standings on Sunday evening is now just a formality. The BCS Championship game is set after Saturday's games. The Auburn Tigers won the SEC title in convincing fashion, defeating the South Carolina Gamecocks 56-17. The Oregon Ducks defeated their instate rivals at Oregon State 37-20, concluding their perfect regular season. The two teams will meet in the BCS Championship game on January 10th in Glendale, Arizona.

While both teams are unquestionably deserving of participating in the BCS Championship game, it's still unfortunate for TCU, who completed their perfect regular season last week with a win over New Mexico will not have an opportunity to play for the BCS Championship. The Horned Frogs are still BCS bound as they'll be headed to the Rose Bowl to take on the Wisconsin Badgers on New Year's Day.

Three automatic BCS-bids are still up for grabs tonight. Florida State is taking on Virginia Tech in the ACC title game while UConn heads to South Florida to try to earn their first BCS bid and Big East title. Oklahoma and Nebraska have the Fiesta Bowl and Big 12 title on the line, so there's still plenty of BCS action still yet to be determined.
