NFL Week 17: Dallas Cowboys (5-10) Vs. Philadelphia Eagles (10-5)

The Dallas Cowboys season will finally come to a close on Sunday when the Philadelphia Eagles play host to the Cowboys in Week 17.

The Cowboys are likely to start their third quarterback of the season on Sunday as Stephen McGee is expected to draw the start for Dallas. Jon Kitna, who had been filling in for an injured Tony Romo, injured himself attempting to scramble for a touchdown on Christmas night against the Arizona Cardinals. McGee completed 11 of 17 passes for 111 yards and a touchdown pass in relief of the injured Kitna.

The Eagles will be starting their backup quarterback too. Kevin Kolb, who entered the season as the starter in Philadelphia, will draw the start for the Eagles. Michael Vick has been ruled out with a quadricep injury, which he suffered in Philadelphia's loss to Minnesota on Tuesday night.

Philadelphia has clinched the NFC East - something that the Dallas Cowboys had aspirations of doing early in the season. The Eagles are also locked into the No. 3 seed in the NFC after their loss to the Vikings, which is the driving force behind the resting of Vick and presumably other starters on Sunday. The Chicago Bears are the beneficiary of Philadelphia's loss as they are now guaranteed a first-round bye.

Dallas interim head coach Jason Garrett will look to finish Dallas' season on a high note and better his case to become the Cowboys head coach in 2011 and beyond. It's expected that owner Jerry Jones will interview various candidates despite Garrett's success in relief of Wade Phillips in 2010.

Kickoff is slated for 4:15 EST in Philadelphia. Televised coverage can be found on FOX.
