The Baylor Bears showing in the Diamond Head Classic last week dropped them out of the top 25 in the latest AP Poll.The Bears, however, did remain No. 23 in the USA Today poll.
Baylor lost twice in the Diamond Head Classic, falling to the Washington State Cougars before losing to Florida State on Christmas Day. Baylor now sits at 8-3 on the young season. The Bears will have over a week to recuperate from their losses - Baylor's next game isn't until January 3rd when they host Texas Southern.
The Texas Longhorns remain in both polls, however. Texas is ranked No. 14 in the USA Today poll and No. 13 in the latest AP poll. The Longhorns are coming off their win in East Lansing last week when they defeated Michigan State 67-55. The Longhorns will play on New Year's Eve when they host Coppin State.
Duke, meanwhile, is the unanimous No. 1 in both the AP and USA Today polls. Ohio State, Kansas, UConn and Syracuse round out the top five.
