NFL Power Rankings Week 15: Dallas Moves Up, Patriots Still On Top

The latest NFL power rankings are out at SB Nation, and despite the tough loss to the Eagles, the Cowboys moved up in the Week 15 power rankings.

The Cowboys were ranked as the 23rd best team in the league in Week 14, and they moved up to No. 21 this week. Hardly what Dallas fans expected to hear at the beginning of the year when many believed the Cowboys would be Super Bowl contenders. Still, Dallas has looked much better under interim head coach Jason Garrett, who is now 3-2 in his stint as Dallas head coach. The Cowboys lost to the Eagles 30-27 on Sunday night, but the effort was good enough to move them up two slots.

At the top of the rankings, it's no surprise to see the New England Patriots still being ranked as the No. 1 team in the league. The Patriots dismantled yet another playoff contender on Sunday when they took the Chicago Bears to task in the blizzard-like conditions at Soldier Field. The win clinched New England's spot in the playoffs. The Falcons, Steelers, Saints and Ravens round out the top five.

At the other end, the Broncos are the latest and greatest to be ranked No. 32 - even despite the fact that they have two more wins than the hapless Carolina Panthers. It's a sad state of affairs when some fans are calling for Tim Tebow to start at quarterback over the struggling Kyle Orton.

Dallas will host the rival Washington Redskins next Sunday.
