Mavs Keep Rolling, Win 12th Straight

The Mavericks survived a late charge but held on to beat the Jazz 103-97.

The Mavericks had a 25-4 lead with 8 minutes left in the first quarter and were up 25 a few minutes after that. It looked like an easy W. But it wasn’t.

Of course, the Jazz have made a habit of coming back from double digits deficits. They came back from huge double digit deficits against the Heat and Magic earlier this year in a span of two nights. This was no different.

↵

Deron Williams led the Jazz comeback with 34 points and 6 assists and Ronnie Price poured in the threes to keep the Jazz close. A Williams’ and one play with 4:31 to go and it was a tie game. Thankfully, they couldn’t close it out.

Dirk came up big again with 31 and 15. Easily the MVP of the league right now. Jason Terry was non-existent for 3 and a half quarters before hitting 3 crucial shots in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.

Could’ve been prettier but it’s a W. The Mavericks continue their homestand against the Bucks, Blazers and Suns before a trip to Miami to face the Heat on the 20th.

Should be fun.
