The Dallas media will be swarming Valley Ranch today, as Jerry Jones contemplates firing his head coach, Wade Phillips. Jones said after his team's 45-7 loss to the Green Bay Packers that there will be consequences.
"There are a lot of people here who are certainly going to suffer and suffer consequences," Jones said. "I'm talking about within the team -- players, coaches who have got careers.
Phillips is scheduled to speak with the media at 4:00 this afternoon, so a decision on his immediate future could come down before then.
While Jones appears willing to consider the performance of his entire staff of coaches and players, he is not willing to look in the mirror.
"Don't imply that my role is going to change at all," Jones said. "Don't do that. You'll get something stuck."
