Marion Barber To Miss Two Weeks With Calf Injury

Dallas Cowboys running back Marion Barber is likely to miss two weeks with a calf injury according toBryan Broaddus. Barber injured his calf in the fourth quarter in Dallas' Thanksgiving day loss to the New Orleans Saints. Before the injury, Barber had rushed 10 times for 19 yards and a touchdown while also making two receptions for eight yards.

Barber has been largely ineffective this year. He's received 102 carries and has managed only 313 yards - good for a 3.1 yards per carry average. He's reached the end zone only three times this season as well.

With Barber being sidelined, Tashard Choice's role should expand. Felix Jones will likely hold the same role that he currently does. Choice will likely step into Barber's role which had been a third down and short yardage back. Choice had been told weeks ago that his role would expand and it looks as if he'll finally have an opportunity for carries with Barber being sidelined.
