BCS Rankings Week 14: TCU Third, Rose Bowl Bound Barring Upset

The latest BCS standings have been unveiled and there's a slight change at the top. The Auburn Tigers, fresh off their comeback win against Alabama, have taken over the top spot from the Oregon Ducks. It's not a groundbreaking change - Oregon is still second and still slated to face off against Auburn in the BCS Championship game in Glendale, Arizona.

TCU, who defeated New Mexico on Saturday, remains third in the BCS standings. It had been speculated that Boise State would leap past TCU with a win over Nevada on Friday, but Boise did not beat Nevada. Instead, the Horned Frogs remain third in the BCS rankings and are in line to play in the Rose Bowl.

TCU still has a chance to play in the BCS Championship game. Oregon takes on Oregon State next week while Auburn takes on South Carolina in the SEC title game. If either of those teams fall, TCU would be in line to play in the title game. Still, it's unlikely that either team will lose and it's likely that the Horned Frogs will head to the Rose Bowl.

Wisconsin and Stanford joined the top five after Boise State and LSU lost. Boise State dropped to 11th and now appears unlikely to make it into a BCS bowl.

The top ten of the BCS standings are as follows:

1. Auburn
2. Oregon
3. TCU
4. Stanford
5. Wisconsin
6. Ohio State
7. Arkansas
8. Michigan State
9. Oklahoma
10. LSU
