The latest college football rankings have been released and the top three teams are a familiar bunch. The Oregon Ducks, who defeated Arizona on Friday, remain the No. 1 team in the country. Auburn, who nearly lost to Alabama on Friday, remain second and TCU jumps up a spot to third. Boise State had been ranked ahead of TCU in both the coaches and AP polls last week, but Boise's loss has dropped them to ninth and tenth respectively.
With two of the top five teams losing this week, LSU being the other besides Boise, that opened the door for two new teams to join the top five. Wisconsin is now the fourth ranked team in the country. Given the Big 10 tiebreaker, which is the highest rated team in the BCS in the Big 10, it looks like Wisconsin will be headed to the Rose Bowl.
Joining Wisconsin in the top five is the Stanford Cardinal, giving the Pac-10 two teams in the top five. Stanford shutout Oregon State on Saturday, winning 38-0.
The top ten is rounded out by Ohio State, Michigan State, Arkansas, Boise State and Oklahoma.
